Arising from an elaborate meeting of the PDP Youth Force for Sheriff- Ughelli, Udu Federal Constituency, held in Ughelli on Saturday, March 15, 2025, a vote of confidence was passed on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State for his development commitment in the state.
The group which comprises of PDP Youths from Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency has as its major aim, a total support for the governor and his re-election in 2027.
The group which is Chairman by Hon. Lucky Ofomukoro, who is also the PDP Party Chairman in Ughelli North Local Government Area, also had the following as executives;
Hon. Kelvin Kpomah, Vice Chairman, Comrade Ochuko Omorere JP, Secretary, Comrade Julius Atiku JP, PRO, Chief Godstime Oghenebrorhien- Organizing Secretary, Comr. Sadiq Hitler- Financial Secretary, and Comr. Augustine Eyanrubure as Treasurer and others.
The group commended the Governor for his leadership qualities, vision, and commitment to the development of the state and praised the efforts of the governor in promoting good governance, infrastructure development, equal spread and distribution of projects across the state and transparency in government.
In a chat with journalists, Comrade Lucky Ofomukoro said; “We the PDP Youth Force For Sheriff Ughelli-Udu Federal Constituency are here to express our total confidence and belief in our amiable Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. He has the capacity, ability and that zeal to better the lives ofvevery Deltans and we know that he will continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of the state.”
Earlier in his remarks, Comrade Lucky Ofomukoro, disclosed that the aim of the group is to prepare ahead of the 2027 governorship elections and to lend their unalloyed support to the governor for all the good work he has been doing.
“We have a working Governor who has performed beyond the expectations of even the oppositions. Take a tour around the state and see the even spread and distribution of infrastructure development and achievable policies and programs of the Oborevwori administration, and you will testify that truly Oborevwori deserve another term.
” So, we the Youths of PDP in this three local governments of Ughelli North, South and Udu have come out as a group yo pledge our support and loyalty to Governor Oborevwori and, we are committed to mobilizing everyone from the unit to the ward and local government level for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. “
Ofomukoro further urged others from the opposition to join hand and support the Oborevwori administration, and also queue behind him come 2027. We are so optimistic that under Oborevwori leadership, the state will continue to progress and prosper.
On his part, the Secretary and the Public Relations Officer to the group, Comrades Ochuko Omorere, JP, and Julius Atiku, JP, promised to mobilized everyone from the grassroot level to ensure a smooth delivery of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in 2027.
“The governor is doing so well, and his infrastructure development and empowerments are testament to the fact that he deserves a second term, and these we are committed to, Just as the saying goes, one good turn deserves another, so Governor Oborevwori project is our project”.
The youths which came out enmass, all described the governor as a committed democrat who believed in the dividends of democracy and pledged their supports and loyalty to him.
Highpoints of the meeting was the motion for the vote of confidence which moved, seconded and unanimously passed by the group.
