Speaking to newsmen at the Nest of Champions Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State at the official flag-off of the 2022/23 Presidential Campaigns of  the PDP, Rt. Hon. Oborevwori said that Nigerians cannot afford to return the APC back to power again, hence the PDP was coming on a rescue mission to salvage the bad situation the ruling APC has plunged the country into since 2015.

According to the group, they are loyal and committed to the PDP and victory of all its candidates in the forthcoming elections, saying that; “We have placed highest stakes and premium on the victory of Rt. Hon. Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori, the governorship candidate of the party in Delta State and directed our teeming members to spare no efforts to ensure he wins his elections.”

According to Ifeajika, the letter from Akume to the Governor stated that “ I have the honour to formally inform you that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the conferment of the National Honour on you, in the rank of CON (Commander of the Order of the Niger)’’. 

At the event Onochie, a blue chip avowed BUHARIST, disclosed that her resolve to formalising her status, stems from “Given that President Buhari won’t be contesting come 2023, it is imperative to support and ensure victory for the APC presidential standard bearer, ASIWAJU Bola Ahmed Tinubu in furtherance of President Buhari’s innumerable accomplishments
