Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on Youth Development, Sony Jifas Ogbon, has called on residents of Olomu, Ughelli South and Delta State in general that registered or transferred their voting points in the last registration exercise conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, to visit the Ward, Local Government Headquarter or the INEC office for collection of their PVCs.
INEC, commenced distribution of Permanent Voters Cards PVC’s, nationwide Monday December 12 for persons who registered in its recent voter’s registration exercise and fixed Sunday January 22, 2023 as the last date for distribution of PVCs.
Speaking on Sunday, December 10, Prince Sony Jifas stressed the need for the new registrants to avail themselves of the window created by the INEC to collect their PVCs, noting that the imperative of electing PDP resourceful political leadership at the National and State levels in the forthcoming polls, begins with possession of permanent voter card.
While urging the new registrants not to be deterred by the possibility of crowd at the collection centre, the philanthropist and business mogul, appealed to Officials of INEC in the local government area, to put machineries in place to fast – track the collection of PVCs.
Prince Jifas assured that he will continue to canvass support for his party and vowed to provide the enabling environment for INEC, other federal and state governments’ departments as well as Agencies, to effectively recognize Ughelli South LGA .
