Foremost Catholic Priest of Warri Diocese and Executive Secretary of the Delta State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Very Rev. Fr. Christopher Ekabo, Ph.D, will on Sunday, April 28, 2024, holds a thanksgiving mass for his 25 years priestly ordination anniversary.
Fr. Ekabo who is the Dean of Obiaruku Deanery, is also the Parish Priest of Christ the King Catholic Church (CKC), Obiaruku.
In a statement made available by Mr. Frank Okirika, laity council chairman, Rev. Fr. Anselm Okafor and Sir Vincent Ekabo both Coordinators, disclosed that the 25th priestly ordination anniversary will also feature a book presentation by the celebrant.
The statement further revealed that the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori will be the Distinguished Special Guest of Honour, while the Udu of Isoko land, High Chief Sir, Bashorun Askia Ogieh, will serve as the Chairman of the event.
It further stated that Rev. Fr. Raphael Ogigbah, will be the homilists of the day, while the Delta State Commissioner for Finance, Fidelis Tileje will be the Host.
Rev. Fr. Christopher Ekabo who is the Chairman of the Ekabo Foundation, is also the Episcopal Vicar for Politics, Public Relations and Government Affairs of the Catholic Diocese of Warri.
He was ordained a Catholic priest for the Catholic Diocese of Warri in 1998. Since his ordination as a priest, he has served the Church of God, his people and the government at different capacity in the past 25 years. He holds a Doctorate degree and has won so many awards of excellence to the glory of God. He is popularly known for his friendliness to people, accessibility, fluency in both his local dialect, English language, Greek and Latin.
