Our attention has just been drawn to a publication going viral in the social media labelling, defaming and accusing Southernvoicenews.com of publishing a story concerning the Oil and Gas Commissioner for Delta State, Hon. Vincent Oyibode, who was alleged to have involved in a fight in the public over the weekend.
To set the record straight, SOUTHERNVOICENEWS is a reputable news publishing organization guided by the ethics of the journalism profession and publishes all news stories with facts, evidence anchored on truth.
Over the years, SouthernVoicenews have received several awards from both government and private institutions for it professional news reportage.
For the avoidance of doubt, Southernvoicenews.com did not make any publication concerning the oil and gas commissioner, Hon. Vincent Oyibode. What transpired was that a call was put across to him to get his responses over an evidential allegations brought against him which was privy to the news medium. But we were surprised when the media aide to the Commissioner, one VINCENT OMOKO, decided to jump the gun and hurriedly went to the press to debunked the unknown publication where he accused SOUTHERNVOICENEWS.COM of publishing a fake news with intent to blackmail the commissioner.
The fact remains that SouthernVoicenews.Com did not make any publications in its medium, and so, hereby challenged VINCENT OMOKO, INDEPENDENT NEWSPAPER, WADOCITYREPORTERS.ORG.NG AND REALMREPORTERS.COM and others, to show evidences by posting the link or anywhere such publications was made by SouthernVoicenews.
To this extent, I am giving the above name and mediums a 7day ultimatum to retract such defamatory report and tender a published apology to SouthernVoicenews.Com or face legal actions.
Politicians should also do their best by engaging professional journalists as media aides but not quacks and Facebook boys that di not understand the ethics of journalism.
