Olorogun Sir, Taleb Tebite, Executive Director Project, Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission DESOPADEC, has expressed shock and sadness over the sudden death of Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi.
Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, a business tycoon, politician and Former Minister of Education died on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
In a statement by his Special Assistant, Hon. Ochuko Omorere, JP, Tebite described the death of Olorogun Gbagi at 62, as a great loss to Oginibo Community, Ughelli South LGA, the Urhobo nation and Delta State in general.
He stated that Gbagi was a notable figure and a proud son of Urhobo nation whom he said has left an impeccable business legacies.
“Gbagi was an industrialist of no mere repute cum politician. This is a heavy blow to us the people of Ughelli South local government area and the entire Urhobo nation especially his immediate family of Oginibo.
“He was an illustrious son of Urhobo land and contributed immensely to the economic growth of Delta state and Nigeria as a whole. His vision, doggedness, unwavering dedication, and profound impact on various spheres of life is something to cherished by generations to come.
“Though we can’t question God, but all we asked at the moment is for God to grant the family, community and the Urhobo nation the fortitude to bear his loss and for God alone to fill the vacuum his demise has caused.
“My deepest condolences go out to his immediate family’s, friends, and the entire Urhobo nation at this difficult time. Let us all come together to honor his memory and continue to strive for the progress and development that he worked so hard to achieve during his life time”.
