There’s serious tension in Delta State as hoodlums alleged to have come from Ogbe-Ijoh Community of Warri South-West Local Government Area, in the early hours of Wednesday, July 12, attacked and shot into Aladja Community.
Details as to the cause of the latest shootings is not clear at the time of this report.
Sources from the community reports that youths from Aladja Community in Udu Local Government Area repelled the attacks and chased the marauders away.
At the time of this report, no casualties have been recorded from both parties as they are said to be seriously spoiling for war.
It would be recalled that there have been an age long land boundary dispute between Ogbe-Ijoh and Aladja Communities in Warri South-West and Udu Local Government Areas. The dispute has lingered for many years with the Government of Delta State releasing a white paper on it in the past few months disclosing that the matter has been settled before this recent development.
