Immediate past Special Adviser to the Governor on Government Affairs, now Commissioner designate, Hon (Chief) Peter Uviejitobor has promised to remain a good ambassador of Udu State Constituency.
Hon Uviejitobor who gave the assurance when the College of PDP Ward Chairmen in Udu local government area, paid him a congratulatory visit, said he will never betray the confidence reposed on him by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the people of Delta State.
Promising to remain a vessel for peace, unity and prosperity in Udu, Uviejitobor stated that Governor Oborevwori’s MORE agenda is on course and Udu local government area will massively benefit from it.
He charged the PDP Ward Chairmen to continue to prevail on party faithfuls to shun divisive tendencies, but to remain committed to the growth of the party in Udu as challenges ahead are enormous.
The two term Lawmaker of the Delta State Assembly who presided over some critical Committees of the House, including Water Resources, Lands, Survey and Urban Development, amongst others, promised to bring his wealth of experience both in private and public sectors to bear, in which ever Ministry he would be assigned by the Governor.
“As a Commissioner and Member of the Delta State Executive Council, i will serve with all my heart in line with the vision of my Boss, the Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori”, Uviejitobor said.
He thanked the Ward PDP Chairmen for the visit and solicited for their support and encouragement.
The PDP Ward Chairmen in Udu, led by William Saiki of Ward 7, Ovwian, Udu, said they were excited by the choice of Hon Uviejitobor as Commissioner and a member of the State Executive Council and congratulated him on the appointment.
The Party Leaders thanked Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who they described as a promise keeper for the honour and assured him of sustained support of the people to his administration in the state.
Reflecting on Uviejitobor’s track records in community development and Udu politics, the PDP Ward leaders acknowledged his
commitment to the growth of the party in Udu as a grassroots mobilizer and his enviable philanthropist tendencies.
They encouraged him to remain a champion of democracy in Udu and the society at large as reward for hard work is more work, even as they expressed confidence in his ability to excel in his new assignment.
