Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta State on Government Affairs, Hon (Chief) Peter Uviejitobor has felicitated Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and the Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme on their victory at the Supreme Court.
Uviejitobor, a two term former member of the Delta State House of Assembly, said the Supreme Court judgement would have threatened the foundation of the MORE agenda of the present administration in the state.
Addressing newsmen at the Supreme Court premises in Abuja immediately after the judgement was delivered, Hon Uviejitobor acknowledged the unique grace of God upon his Boss, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.
The Special Adviser described the judgement of the Justices of the Apex Court as victory for accelerated growth in Delta State .
While congratulating the Governor, Deputy Governor, the PDP family and Deltans on the victory, Uviejitobor also expressed happiness that the legal battle ended in praise.
He said, “this Supreme Court Judgment has reaffirmed the overwhelming votes Deltans gave to the PDP Candidate, His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori during the governorship election.
“The legal fireworks, I can say was unnecessary as the Governor won in 21 out of the 25 local government areas. I had expected the three major opposition candidates to embrace the outcome of the election and congratulate the winner.
“Well, they chose to take the state on these legal journey and thank God the Supreme Court has affirmed the victory. I celebrate with my Governor for the victory
and confidence reposed on him by Deltans”, Uviejitobor stated.
He noted that now that the storm is over, the Governor will focus on governance to delivering his promises to Deltans.
The former Lawmaker who represented Udu Constituency, said the involvement of construction giant, Julius Berger by the Governor on bridge and road development in the state was a sign of the preparedness of Rt Hon Oborevwori to leaving a lasting legacy in the state.
Uviejitobor charged every critical stakeholders in the state to collaborate with the Governor to succeed as their supports are needed at all times.
