Incumbent House of Representative Member representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Francis Ejiroghene Waive has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket, having defeated his opponents, Mrs. Obukomena Ibru-Mukoro and Mr. Oghenevona.
Declaring the result at the DSC open field near Ovwian Police Station, venue of the primary, the APC returning officer, Barr. Ambrose Egwunatun said, out of the 154 accredited voters, Rev. Francis Waive pulled 107 votes while his closest opponent, Ibru pulled 41 votes. Other aspirants, Mr. Oghenevona pulled 03 votes while 03 did not vote.
Addressing newsmen after the declaration, Hon. Francis Ejiroghene Waive who was overwhelmed with the declaration victory thanked APC delegates for giving him the massive support at the primary and making him fly the flag of the APC Federal House of Representative ticket in the 2023 general elections.
He also thanked the Party officials and INEC for conducting a free and fair primary.
