…Says Its Time To Inaugurate NDDC Board

Niger-Delta Ex-militants under the Urhobo-Isoko Youth Wing and Ex-agitator leaders of the phase 1, 2 and 3 of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), yesterday, said President Muhammadu Buhari can no longer hide under the Forensic Audit report as excuse not to inaugurate the NDDC board.
The Urhobo-Isoko Ex-militants Youth Wing and Ex-Agitator leaders who spoke to newsmen through its Chairman, General Joseph Figbele and Vice Chairman, Solomon Adu said since the Forensic Audit Committee had submitted its report, that it is expected that Buhari ought to have inaugrated the board instead of this unnecessary delay.
The Urhobo/Isoko Ex Militants group lamenting over President Buhari’s ill attitude towards delay in the inauguration of the NDDC Board, is not only a calculated attempt to play on the intelligent of the Niger Delta region but also a show of insincerity on the part of Buhari’s government to do the needful.
The Ex Militants group had also warned the Buhari’s administration to stop playing pranks with the inauguration of the NDDC board, adding that Buhari should not in anyway take the region for granted, that any further delay in the inauguration of the board, that the region will be unsafe for the present government.
It said since Buhari’s government has decided to show a clear term of betrayal of trust and display this act of l don’t care attitude towards the people of the Niger Delta region, and advised federal government not to allow temper rise.
The group said on the mismanagement that had previously bedeviled the NDDC, a forensic audit was set up and the result is expected by the end of July, 2021. I want to assure you that as soon as the forensic audit report is submitted and accepted, the NDDC Board will be inaugurated.”
They said they are wondering why President Buhari till date has not said anything about the report and the inauguration of the substantive board and he is not taking any step to address the issues surrounding the inauguration of the NDDC board.
On the forensic audit report, the group insisted that there should be transparency in the implementation of the audit report because it is considered an integrity test and charged Buhari to make the Forensic report public for the purpose of accessibility and acceptability.
According to the group the people of the Niger Delta region deserve to know every detail relating to the report of the forensic audit, insisting that there should be hiding agenda in the implementation of the forensic audited report.
